Went to an antique shop with my friend Dawn and had our usual "Ladies Tea and Luncheon" (Very Southern, sometimes we even wear Large Southern Hats to pretend we are the true Belles) Anyway, spotted this great chair. At least I thought it was great. I saw it like I usually see things, I saw it the way it should look and not actually the way it did. I took it, ran to Joannes fabrics, bought this fabric for 6 dollars a yard. Bought a yard and a half. It is heavy duty, velvety greyish blue with a lovely texture ribbed material. Painted the chair in black, gave it two coats before I made dinner and took my son after school to his guitar lesson. Afterwards around 6:30 pm I got home, ate, put a few loads of laundry in, mopped the floors and vacuumed because I have a mess from when we had to take out the carpet from the basement (see basement water damage below) then did another coat or paint. I then tacked the seat cushion with the fabric and then worked on the top of the chair which was harder than I thought. It had these creases so I used fabric tak glue and then sewed the rest by hand. It was 9:45 when I finally finished. But I was pleased with the results.
