My Mom

After the loss of my dad 5 years ago and the pain of watching my mother wither away from severe dementia and Alzheimers, tonight I find peace.  My mom passed late this afternoon.  I know she is no longer afraid, confused and mentally gone or in pain.  My mom is at peace, and with her mind in tact with my dad and whole once more.  I can finally find peace.  May God be with my mom as she enters into heaven.

Lisa, please accept my sympathy. I was always touched by the love and care you gave your mother ; your love for her shone through in your blog posts. It is a blessing that her suffering has ended and she is now at peace. Prayers for you and your family at this sad time.

I am so sorry to read of your loss.

Today has been interesting. I went to two funerals, and it is the anniversary (15 years to the day) of my father's passing. My mom died 20 years ago, much too young.

It is DIFFICULT when one loses both parents. I am so truly sorry, as I know that pain. I am praying for you, and your for your parents, and my own. May they rest in peace, and may you feel strong in your loving memories, faith and the love of friends and family at this difficult time. God bless.

Lisa, I know first hand the pain of loosing someone we love. The only solace I can find is knowing Mr. P is whole and healthy and walking in Heaven. May all your memories and love for your mother carry you through this next journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. fondly ~lynne~

Oh Lisa my deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. I know what Alzheimer's can do to a person's later years in life. It is a good blessing to hear your mom is at peace and with your dad now. May all the wonderful memories of your beautiful mom give you peace in the days ahead.
Prayers are with you and your family.

May your mom and dad be together in His Kingdom. I have been reading your blog for awhile. My best friend went through what you did with her mom too. So hard Lisa. May God keep you wrapped around his love. Knowing your parents looking down at you and seeing all the adventures in your life. Kathleen in Az

I'm so sorry. What a peace and comfort to she is with her savior now though. Praying that God will strengthen and continue to comfort you and your family as your walk through these next few days. And my prayer always during a death of a loved one is that those in the family who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will come to know Him. :)

Dear Lisa, somehow I did not see this blog post until tonight. So sorry that I am so delayed in responding to your loss. I'm thankful your mother has passed on - it is so devastating to see them living with dementia. I'm sure it is a very sad time for you... but a comfort also. You're in my thoughts. - Dori -

You are in my thoughts and prayers.I lost my mother a year ago this February. She suffered with the same issues as your mother. I also felt she was finally at peace. It was so sad to see this wonderful person just slip away from us.
